Zack Greinke took the mound Tuesday night in Milwaukee and it was much of the same from his previous starts this season. The right-hander had seven strikeouts in 7.2 innings to remain undefeated and earn his fifth win of 2015.

In the process Greinke also extended his personal winning streak to 10 games with a 1.30 ERA, which stretches over 14 starts and dates back to last season. The Milwaukee Brewers took a 1-0 lead in the second inning only due to a Joc Pederson as Greinke otherwise dazzled:

While Greinke controlled the game from the mound, he also did a little damage with his bat. With one out in the seventh inning, the 2013 Silver Slugger doubled but the bigger story was his bat flip that caught the attention of the Dodgers dugout:

Greinke’s double wound up being cashed in by Jimmy Rollins, who momentarily broke out of his slump by crushing a two-run home run to left field. Along with striking out seven over 7.2 innings and helping his own cause, Greinke was also involved in two other relatively uncommon exchanges.

  1. I’m lovin’ Zack’s 2015 start. I predict he’ll get 20 if no injuries, He is the true Ace this year now and looking the part every time he takes the mound and do mop up after a Kershaw misfire or Guffaw.
