Dodgers Vs Padres Recap: Ryu, Offense Salvage Series

In the top of the eighth, the Dodger offense exploded. Gonzalez led off with a single, which was followed by a Kemp double. Alex Torres was brought in by the Padres. Carl Crawford walked and Juan Uribe hit an RBI single. The Padres then went to Jesse Hahn and he promptly threw a wild pitch that allowed Kemp to score. A.J. Ellis walked to load the bases again and Darwin Barney hit a two-run single to make it 6-1. Ellis was thrown out at home on Andre Ethier’s single.



Pedro Baez took over in the bottom of the inning and threw a scoreless inning to keep it 6-1 going to the ninth. A Gonzalez single and Uribe double made it 7-1 in the top of the final inning.

Baez came out for the bottom of the ninth and quickly retired the side in order to close out the Dodger victory.
