PAGES: 1 | 2

The Dodger offense went back to work in the fifth inning behind a pair of doubles from Dee Gordon and Adrian Gonzalez with the latter putting the Dodgers ahead 3-2. Rodriguez’s night was over after facing the one batter in the fourth as Jamey Wright took over in the fifth.

Wright squandered the lead by allowing two singles. The Dodgers loaded the bases on Bergman with no outs in the sixth and he was replaced by Rex Brothers. Justin Turner pinch-hit for Wright and hit a two-run double.

Gordon followed with an RBI single and the Dodgers led 6-3 with runners on the corners and no outs. Nick Masset took over for Brothers, but it made little difference as Gordon stole second base and Masset walked Puig to load the bases. Dee Gordon, Justin Turner

Gonzalez hit a two-run single to give the Dodgers an 8-3 lead. The scoring continued with Ramirez’s RBI double and a Carl Crawford sacrifice fly. With two outs, Juan Uribe doubled home another run and the Dodgers led 11-3 by the time the inning came to an end.

The eight runs scored in the inning were a season-high for the Dodgers. Pedro Baez and Brandon League each navigated one scoreless inning of relief, though League’s was a bit more difficult as he put the first two batters he faced on by hitting them with a pitch.

Brian Wilson allowed a single and nothing else in the eighth and he was followed by Chris Perez, who pitched the final inning to complete the Dodgers’ 11-3 win.
