The Los Angeles Dodgers have been up and down this season, especially at home. Enter Clayton Kershaw, who was not going to let that conversation continue on for much longer. After what some call a weird game vs the New York Mets Wednesday night, Kershaw was focused on getting a win.

And under the big lights of Dodger Stadium he delivered more than just a victory.

Kershaw recorded his 10th strikeout during the top of the 8th giving him five straight games with at least 10 strikeouts. He finished the game with 13K.

In the Dodgers win, Kershaw did have some help, early too.

Especially from Yasmani Grandal, who was catching for Kershaw on Thursday, also put in some work in at the plate.

Oh yea, and all in the first inning.

Then Chase Utley hit a home run to right field extending the Dodgers lead to 5-0.

However, Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon got his pitches in especially this one on Joc Pederson that almost left his head spinning.

Kershaw closed out the game in the 9th inning, which can only end in one way.

A Dodgers victory.
