Good Luck, Lakers and Clippers, From Dodgers Nation

One of the cooler relationships in the city of Los Angeles is the relationship between the various teams. So, as both the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers kick of their seasons Wednesday night, we here at Dodgers Nation would like to wish both teams the best of luck.

In my experience, it feels like the professional sports break down into two factions. Dodgers fans tend to side with the Lakers and Kings (where my allegiances align) while Angels fans tend to root for the Clippers and Ducks. Part of it seems to be generational and the other major factor is obviously geographical.

Dodgers Candidates Actively Interviewing

Regardless of the reasons, the relationships make for really fun moments at various sporting events. When Clippers throw out the first pitch to Dodgers games, they get booed. That’s just how that works, for some reason. When Lakers throw out the first pitch, it tends to be in front of applause. Again, that’s just how this works.

Still, as a lifelong sports fan, I’m excited to have another sport kick off. So, to the Clippers, I’ll offer my polite wishes of luck. To the Lakers: let’s go!
