VIDEO: Joc Pederson Hits Solo Home Run In Triple-A All-Star Game

Yasiel Puig represented the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game and had disappointing results.

Puig didn’t hit a home run in the Derby and went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in the Midsummer Classic. On Wednesday, the Dodgers had another outfielder who was failing to deliver in an All-Star Game.

Playing for the Pacific League All-Stars, Joc Pederson followed in Puig’s footsteps by striking out in his first two at-bats. However, the Albuquerque Isotopes center fielder broke the trend in his third at-bat as he crushed a solo home run to right field in the sixth inning.

Pederson’s home run pulled the Pacific League team within 4-1, but they would go on to lose at the hands of the International League All-Stars, 7-3.

Pederson finished the game 1-for-3 with the home run, a walk and two runs scored.
