  • After breaking off talks, the Baltimore Orioles and Mark Trumbo re-engaged and have reportedly reached an agreement. Baltimore has to be careful with future salary commitments if it intends to keep star Manny Machado. [Jon Heyman first]

  • Tyson Ross is officially a Texas Ranger. The Cubs finished second in the race to sign Ross, and despite speculation, the Dodgers never appeared to be a serious suitor. [Texas Rangers].

  • The Baseball Hall of Fame has three new members: Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez.
