MLB News: MLB Announces Postseason Schedule

It is time to start requesting your days off of work because Major League Baseball has announced the full schedule for the 2017 postseason.

The Los Angeles Dodgers currently sit at 79-32, and look to be a shoo in for the best record in the National League comes season’s end, meaning that we should have a good idea of when and where they will be starting their games come October.



The American League Wildcard game is on October 3rd and the National League Wildcard game is on October 4th.

The National League Division Series games will begin on Friday Oct. 6 on TBS. The Dodgers would presumably be playing at Dodger Stadium, if the hold onto the best record in the National League, on Friday the 6th and Saturday the 7th, before going to the Wildcard winner’s home stadium for games 3 and 4, if necessary. Game 5, if needed would come back to Dodger Stadium.

  • Game 2: Oct.7
  • Game 3: Oct. 9
  • Game 4: Oct. 10*
  • Game 5: Oct. 12*

The National League Championship Series begins on Oct. 14th and concludes on Oct. 22nd if it goes to a game 7.

  • Game 1: Oct. 14
  • Game 2: Oct. 15
  • Game 3: Oct. 17
  • Game 4: Oct. 18
  • Game 5: Oct. 19*
  • Game 6: Oct. 21*
  • Game 7: Oct. 22*

Then on to the World Series, where home field advantage now goes to the team with the best regular season record.

  • Game 1: Oct. 24
  • Game 2: Oct. 25
  • Game 3: Oct. 27
  • Game 4: Oct. 28
  • Game 5: Oct. 29*
  • Game 6: Oct. 31*
  • Game 7: Nov. 1*

October baseball is fast approaching and the Dodgers look set to make it to their first World Series since 1988, and then come back to a big parade as they go through Los Angeles.
