MLB News: Mutiple Brawls Between Tigers and Yankees

The Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees had a game that will most likely go down in the history books.

Gary Sanchez hombre in his first at-bat off of Michael Fulmer. Fuller responded by hitting him in his next at-bat. Tommy Kahnle responded by hitting Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers. Kahn and his manager, Joe Girardi, were both ejected from the game at that point.

The actual brawl started when Miguel Cabrera of Detroit and Austin Romine of New York began talking to each other at home plate. Romine pulled his mask off and he and Cabrera began to yell at each other before Cabrera pushed him and threw a punch.

The Yankees then responded by hitting Tigers’ catcher James McCann in the head and the Tigers fired back by hitting Yankees’ third baseman, Todd Frazier.

The big brawl begins immediately in this video, but embedded here is the extended cut if you want the extra views/commentary.

Yankees reliever Dellin Betances decided to counter back, whether you think it is intentional or not, by drilling Tigers’ catcher James McCann with a 98mph fastball to the head.
