NLCS Tied 2-2: Dodgers Are Still In Good Position Against Cubs
After 20-plus scoreless innings for the Chicago Cubs, they finally found their offense against the Los Angeles Dodgers in game four of the National League Championship Series. The Cubs were able to defeat the Dodgers 10-2 in game four of the series assuring the winner of the NLCS will be decided at Wrigley Field.

Early in the game Dodgers’ first baseman Adrian Gonzalez was called out on a head-first slide into home plate. Upon further review Gonzalez was still called out despite the replay showing he had clearly made it in prior to the tag.
It was reported that Gonzalez was told he was safe according two other umpires but nothing could be done since it was not their call.
After the loss, Gonzalez said, “Let’s be honest. After that, we played a sloppy game.”

Sloppy was an understatement as Los Angeles committed four errors on the night. Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts weighed in on the forced mistakes.
“It happens. It happens and obviously it’s more magnified in the postseason, but we haven’t had a game like that in a long time,” Roberts said.

Despite the lopsided loss, the Dodgers are still confident they can win the NLCS and punch their ticket to the fall classic. The reason for the confidence is Los Angeles outscored Chicago 7-0 through games two and three after dropping the first game of the series.
The Dodgers became the first team since 1991 to post consecutive shutout wins in a league championship series.

Before the game Roberts announced that Kenta Maeda will start the very important game five of the NLCS. His counterpart will be Jon Lester.
Maeda has been less than stellar this postseason. In only seven innings pitched, Maeda has allowed seven earned runs on nine hits.
