PHOTO: Chone Figgins Advocates For Dee Gordon’s All-Star Case

[new_royalslider id=”24″] Heading into Sunday’s game with the St. Louis Cardinals, Dee Gordon was hitting .295 with 25 RBIs and a Major League-best 40 stolen bases.

Gordon has been particularly impressive through the first three games against the Cardinals, hitting 7-for-12 with two doubles and two RBIs. Had the things broke his way Saturday, Gordon likely would have had at least one triple, if not two.

After somewhat of a down month in May, Gordon has fared much better in June. Despite the success, Gordon remains humble and focused on improving, not his All-Star prospects.

However the same can’t be said for Chone Figgins, who is currently on the disabled list but took the opportunity to campaign for Gordon’s All-Star candidacy, via the Dodgers:
