It was less than a week ago that the Los Angeles Dodgers suffered their first three-game sweep of the 2015 season, and it came at the hands of the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers look to bounce back from that as they now host the Giants for a three-game series.

Monday’s series opener features the same starting pitchers that took the mound in the first game in San Francisco. Left-hander Brett Anderson looks for his second win of the season and hopes to have better luck than the last time he faced the Giants.

Anderson gave up four runs on nine hits in just four innings pitched. His tough-luck loss included five hits that didn’t leave the infield, much to Anderson’s dismay.

The Giants counter with veteran right-hander and two-time Cy Young Award winner, Tim Lincecum. The 30 year old is 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA in 18.0 innings pitched this season. While his velocity on his fastball has dropped since his Cy Young years, he gave up just one run in six innings in his last start against the Dodgers.

Lincecum also induced the Dodgers to hit into four double plays that game. Lincecum has won three of his last four starts at Dodger Stadium, although he has not pitched there since 2013.

With Yasiel Puig on the disabled list due to a left hamstring strain, Andre Ethier gets another start in right field.

Ethier is batting .342 with two home runs and a has .435 on-base percentage in 46 plate appearances this season. Of his 46 plate appearances, 41 have come against right-handed pitchers.

Despite the success of Alex Guerrero so far this season, Juan Uribe returns to the lineup after a day off on Sunday. Uribe won a World Series with the Giants in 2010, but is batting just .222 in 86 career games against his former team.

Additionally, the Dodgers recalled relief pitcher Adam Liberatore from Triple-A Oklahoma City with news of Brandon McCarthy suffering a torn UCL in his right elbow.
