After dropping the final game to the St. Louis Cardinals and losing their first home series since August of last season, the Los Angeles Dodgers shift their focus to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The two teams begin a three-game set Monday night with Mike Bolsinger taking the mound for the Dodgers and Rubby De La Rosa for the Diamondbacks.

Bolsinger began his time with the Dodgers in impressive fashion, earning three wins over his first four starts. In addition, he only allowed a combined two runs during that span. He’s coming off a rough outing against the Colorado Rockies on June 3, which came after he suffered his first loss May 29.

Despite giving up four runs in five innings to the Rockies, Bolsinger’s ERA sits at an impressive 1.98 entering Monday’s matchup against his former team. In nine starts with the Diamondbacks last season he went 1-6 with a 5.50 ERA before finishing the season in the Minors and eventually being traded to the Dodgers in the offseason.

As for De La Rosa, he comes into the game with a 4-2 record and 5.09 ERA. His last win came nearly a month ago in a May 12 start against the Washington Nationals. In De La Rosa’s last start, he allowed the Atlanta Braves to score seven runs on nine hits over five innings of work.

While the Nationals were able to score off De La Rosa, he did strikeout eight and currently leads the Diamondbacks in strikeouts with 67. The series will also see top first basemen face each other as Adrian Gonzalez and Paul Goldschmidt are the top All-Star vote-getters at their position.

Gonzalez went 1-for-4 when he first saw De La Rosa earlier this season and struck out twice. Elsewhere in the lineup, Yasiel Puig gets the day off after making his return over the weekend. Andre Ethier starts in right field and Alex Guerrero is in left.
