After a 14-inning game that lasted over five hours, the Los Angeles Dodgers ended up with a victory on an Adrian Gonzalez walk-off hit.

The Dodgers enter Tuesday night’s match up with a 4.5 game lead, the largest margin they have enjoyed since July 16. Both of the rivals are breaking out their aces to take the mound. Cy Young contender Zack Greinke has an 8-1 record in his last 10 starts and has maintained the most dominant earned run average in the league at 1.61. Greinke will also bat in the eighth spot in the batting order for the first time this season. He has two home runs on the year.

Opposing Greinke will be Giants ace Madison Bumgarner, who has dominated the Dodgers this season. Coming off of a successful August in which he went 5-0 with a 1.43 ERA, this lefty will undoubtedly give Greinke a run for his money. Bumgarner is 2-0 with a 1.31 ERA in three starts against the Dodgers this year. All three previous matchups were against Clayton Kershaw.

As far as the rest of the clubhouse is concerned, Jose Peraza will start at second base for Chase Utley and Joc Pederson secures another start at center field while landing himself the 9th spot in the lineup. Presumably, Pederson is getting another starting opportunity because of his defensive prowess. Gonzalez will bat clean-up for the Dodgers as he continues to lead the team with 25 home runs and 78 RBIs.
