Puig Hits Home Run Vs. Giants In MLB The Show 15 Trailer (VIDEO)

Puig 6

In his first full season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Yasiel Puig earned a trip to the All-Star Game and was a Home Run Derby participant, and solved the team’s outfield dilemma by being able to man center field.

While it was a pleasant experience for the young outfielder, Puig failed to hit a home run in the Derby and he went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in the All-Star Game.

That eventually played into Puig struggling at the plate with the Dodgers as the season wore on and while he showed glimpses of improvement in September, the postseason was a struggle. Nonetheless, Puig was named to the MLB roster for the Japan All-Star Series and he recently was revealed as the cover athlete for Sony Playstation’s MLB The Show 15.

After revealing the cover, which somewhat surprisingly doesn’t have Puig doing a bat flip, Sony released the game’s first official trailer that’s complete with Puig’s signature move. The setting has Puig stepping into the batter’s box against the San Francisco Giants with at least two men on and Javier Lopez on the mound.

Although not the most prolific of home run hitters, Puig swings at the first pitch he sees and sends the ball sailing into the left field pavilion.

  1. There is no way Botchy leaves Javier Lopez in face Puig in that situation. Otherwise game looks great. Im happy Puig is on the cover.

  2. Not a computer gamer, but the graphics are impressive. Now, they need to work on the timing of the movements, which is off.
