Recap: Kazmir Strikes Out 8 in 8-4 Win Against Nationals

The Dodgers are coming off of a couple of tough losses in Arizona and could really use some wins to get some momentum going! On Tuesday they faced the Washington Nationals with Scott Kazmir taking the mound.

Let’s take a look at the highlights!



The game started quickly with the Dodgers producing 3 runs in the top of the first!

They would come back in the top of the second and tack on another!

In the top of the fifth, the Dodgers would get 2 more thanks to RBI singles by Puig and AGon!

Unfortunately, the Nationals would answer in the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run.

Kazmir would be pulled after 7 innings striking out 8 and giving up one run.

The Dodgers would get another in the top of the eighth thanks to the veteran, Chase Utley!

The Nationals would get 3 in the bottom of the 8th to to cut the score to 7-4.

The Dodgers were not done though because in the top of the ninth Grandal would join the party with a solo home run!

Jansen would come in to close things out and that’s exactly what he did!
