The Dodgers ave split the series with the Nationals 1-1, having won the first 8-4 and lost the second 8-1. Luckily, the Giants have not been doing to well so the boys in blu ere main 4.5 games behind them in second. On Thursday the Dodgers looked to take the series with Julio Urias getting his first start since the 4th of July.

The Dodgers got on the board immediately thanks to a 2 run shot by Justin Turner, his 16th on the year.

The Nats would answer in the bottom of the first and cut the Dodgers’ lead in half.

The Dodgers would strike back in the top of the third with a 3 run bomb off the bat of Justin Turner, his second of the day and 17th of the year, a new career high! Howie would also extend his hitting streak to 13 games!

Justin Turner isn’t the only one who is red hot by the way!

Urias would be pulled after 4 innings giving up 1 run and throwing 77 pitches.

The Nationals would get one back in the bottom of the 6th thanks to a single by Heisey and a double by Espinosa.

Puig would come in the bottom of the 6th as part of a double switch, but would be pulled after batting in the top of the 7th due to a possible tweak in his leg.

The Nationals would get another in the bottom of the 7th thanks to an RBI single by Murphy.

Kenley would get the call to close out the 9th, picking up his 28th save on the year!

The Dodgers would take the series finale 6-3 thanks to a couple of bombs from Justin Turner! Not only did they get the win, Strasberg picks up his first loss on the season.

Unfortunately, Urias did not pitch enough innings to pick up the win, even though he put on an amazing performance.
