Scott Kazmir Will Stay With the Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers suffered many injuries throughout the season, one being starting pitcher Scott Kazmir. However, his injury came at the end of the season, meaning he helped lead the starting rotation when Clayton Kershaw went down.
On Sunday, Joel Sherman of the New York Post tweeted that Scott Kazmir would not be opting-out of his contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

During the 2016 season, Kazmir went 10-6 in 26 starts. He struck out 134, walked 52, and accumulated an ERA of 4.56.

Since there aren’t many options in the free agent market this off-season, many teams might be interested in the veteran starter.

Seriously? Which team is going to trade for a broken down journeyman pitching making $16M/yr for two years? Dodges would have to take back equally insane salary back in return. At least Greinke’s insane contract may have brought us a WS.
There was little doubt that he would exercise his player option after this season. He is an overpaid rotation filler who has a 3-1 strikeout to walk ratio.
