Seager gave his team a 4-2 lead after scoring homers in the bottom of the sixth and the eighth, and hit his 12th home run of the season. Seager is the first Dodgers rookie with a three home-run game since April 21, 1959.

Kenta Maeda’s night was done after the 7th inning, and he produced a highlight of his own.

Scott Van Slyke, who was just activated from the DL, saw action at the top of the eighth and Kenley Jansen closed the game out for the Dodgers in the ninth. The Dodgers will take their 4-2 victory into their next game against the Braves Saturday night. Clayton Kershaw will get the start.
