Stories By Scully: Vin Remembers Roy Campanella | VIDEO

The Los Angeles Dodgers fell to the Angels of Anaheim 7-6 on Monday despite a strong performance from Dodgers Trayce Thompson. One thing that makes any Dodger game memorable regardless of the score is the stories told by Vin Scully throughout the broadcast, from the history of beards to sharing a personal story about his childhood, Scully’s stories are priceless.

It was during the top of the 6th inning that Scully brought back a memory from May 7, 1959. Dodger fans took out their cell phones and put on a mini light show, which Scully acknowledged it reminded him of Dodgers great Roy Campanella and the L.A. Coliseum.

Scully has more than six decades of Dodger baseball under his belt, and is in his final year calling games for the Dodgers.
