Stories By Scully: A Tribute to Vin

This will be the last season in the Los Angeles Dodgers broadcasting booth for Vin Scully. In what will be his 67th and final season as the voice of Dodgers baseball, Scully’s farewell tour has been one for the books.

Opposing teams have even taken opportunities to meet Vin when the play the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Boston Red Sox first baseman David Ortiz and San Diego Padres first baseman Wil Myers are some of the many players who have stopped by the broadcasting booth when visiting Chavez Ravine.

MLB Tonight takes an interesting look into Vin’s career and his legacy and showcases how valuable Vin has been to the game of baseball. Former New York Yankee skipper Joe Torre and legendary television personality Larry King weigh in on the historic broadcaster to name a few.

The Dodgers plan to honor him with Vin Scully Weekend Sept. 23-25. Scully has gone on record saying he wants to end his career in San Francisco, which is where the Dodgers will close out the 2016 season. The Blue Crew will play a three-game series against the Giants in the Bay Area starting on.
