Time Warner Cable Handing Out Antennas To Watch Dodgers On KCAL

The Dodgers incredible run has been great to watch, but unfortunately for many fans, they haven’t been able to see it since Time Warner and CBS are in a dispute.

KCAL, a CBS station, has been blacked out and unfortunately, the Dodgers were almost exclusively on the channel. There doesn’t seem to be an end to the dispute as both are airing commercials bashing each other while customers are starting to switch cable providers.

However, according to Jon Fingas of EnGadget.com, TWC is trying to make nice with its customers:

The TV provider is now giving away a “limited quantity” of basic TV antennas in the Dallas, Green Bay, Los Angeles, Milwaukee and New York City regions. For those who don’t snag a free antenna, the company is also offering $20 in credit toward buying a unit at certain Best Buy stores in those same cities.

With the Dodgers starting a nine-game home stand tonight, they’ll only be on KCAL once in nine games as hopefully CBS and Time Warner can come to some resolution closer to the end of the season.

The peace offering of TV antennas is nice, but with the Dodgers slated to appear eight times on KCAL in September, a deal ultimately needs to be made.
