Willie Calhoun and Cody Bellinger Shine in AFL Fall Stars Game
You keep hearing their names and now you’re just wondering when they’re going to get a shot in the majors. Well, that day is still not here; however, here are a couple of more reasons to wish they were playing at the Chavez Ravine.
On Saturday the two Dodger prospects took part in the Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game and added to their case to be called up to the majors.
Cody Bellinger, the Dodgers number one prospect, went 1-5 at the plate, but that “1” was a huge 2-run shot over the right-field wall.
The real story came from the Dodgers number four prospect, Willie Calhoun. Calhoun went 5-5 with a huge 2-run homer in Saturday’s game.
His performance was enough to get him the MVP award!

Both Cody Bellinger and Willie Calhoun were amazing this past season with the Tulsa Drillers. Bellinger hit .263, with 23 home runs and 65 RBIs in 114 games. Calhoun, on the other hand, hit .254, with 27 home runs and 88 RBIs in 132 games.
Both players are exciting to watch and should be starting next year with the OKC Dodgers. Hopefully a strong performance there will send them to Los Angeles sooner rather than later!
