Top Five Vin Scully Moments

We have come across a petition to get Hall-of-Fame and Dodgers broadcaster, Vin Scully to call one more World Series. You may sign the petition here.

Let’s take a look at the top five moments that Vin Scully has shared with us over the years.

5) Vin Scully on passing of UCLA legend John Wooden.

Poetic is one of the many talents that Vin Scully has exhibited in his tenure as the Dodgers broadcast announcer. The video below is one of many examples of this.

4) Vin Scully Interview in New York for CBS.

As you can tell, this is not a call that he made during a game. Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite interviews with Vin Scully as he recalls the time when the Dodgers were moving to LA and how he was almost fired in favor of some LA broadcasters. This is truly a must listen!

3) Vin Scully’s Call of Hank Aaron’s 715th Homerun.

The Dodgers happened to be playing the Atlanta Braves when Hank Aaron hit the record breaking HR to surpass Babe Ruth. Who better to call the historic moment than ourvery own Vin Scully.

2) Vin Scully Call on Sandy Koufax Perfect Game

The night was September 9, 1965. I’ll let Vin Scully do the rest of the talking.

1) Kirk Gibson HR in the 1988 World Series

Was there any doubt what would be #1? Not only was this the most recent memory, but it is a memory that is etched in every single Dodger fans mind and will forever be remembered. (Apologies beforehand as this is the best video I can find with Vin Scully’s call).
