Trending Up:

Clayton Kershaw: Making one start against the Cubs last week, Kershaw was nothing short of impressive.

In eight innings pitched, he allowed just one earned run and four baserunners (three hits, one walk) while tying a season high with 14 strikeouts. Along with picking up his 11th win of the season, he also lowered his ERA to 2.24 and FIP to 2.10.

Zack Greinke: Starting against the Reds in the series finale, Greinke added another scoreless outing to his brilliant season.

Over seven innings, he gave up just four hits while walking two and striking out nine. As a result, his ERA and WHIP for the year diminished to 1.61 and 0.85, respectively.

Andre Ethier: Picking up three starts and appearing in six overall games, Ethier had success at the plate.

In 12 plate appearances, he had five hits, including a double on Friday, and drew a walk (.500 on-base percentage). As the month of August nears an end, his slash line in 2015 remains stellar at .297/.373/.483.
