Tweets Of The Day: Dodgers Lose Another One-Run Game To Reds, 4-3
In the second half of the 2013 season, the Dodgers don’t go on losing streaks longer than two games. Thus, starter Zack Greinke is on the mound this morning and takes his 4-0 lifetime record against the Reds into the game today.
Opposing starter Mat Latos was efficient in his only start against the Dodgers, limiting them to just one earned run in 7.2 innings in late July. After giving regulars the night off during the finale against the Rockies, the Dodgers offense was out of sync last night as Mike Leake got into a nice rhythm after giving up a two-run home run in the first inning.
Even with the loss yesterday, the Dodgers saw their NL West lead remain 12 games and their magic number decrease to 11 with the Diamondbacks 3-0 loss to the Giants.
With Greinke and Latos on the mound, it should be a good pitcher’s duel. Here are the tweets of the game.
Three losses in a row. The sky is falling. #Dodgers

Opposing baserunners against Wilson in 323 games in his career: 10 SB in 18 att. Make that 11 for 19; Hamilton just swiped 4th in 4 games.

Jerry Hairston ejected. Sure looked like strike 3 was too close to take from this point of view.

Nice inning by Belisario. Damn anyone who thought Wilson was coming in.

I hate to admit it, but AJ Ellis really hasn't been very good this year. I don't trust Federowicz to hit, so LA sneaky into McCann sweeps?

Well, tie game sucks, but no grease fire either, so it's a push. -N

Will the Dodgers ever learn how to run the bases???
— LasordasLair (@LasordasLair) September 7, 2013
A.J. Ellis singled to right, just like the second inning. Here's hoping for the same result.

Nicely done Greinke

First base ump appeared to miss a call and Gonzalez is safe at first — but issue could've been avoided if Latos had covered first faster.
