Urias Starts, Thompson Homers, but Dodgers Fall 7-2 vs. Cubs | VIDEO

The Los Angeles Dodgers faced off vs. the Chicago Cubs in the series finale on Thursday. The Dodgers recalled Julio Urias from the minors and he received his second start in the majors. Following his MLB debut vs. the New York Mets, where he only pitched 2.2 innings, the Dodgers were going to limit Urias to either 6 innings/90 pitches vs. the Cubs.

This was the Dodgers last game at Wrigley Field before returning home to Dodger Stadium to face the Atlanta Braves.

Urias started strong but struggled vs. the Cubs and after five innings Chris Hatcher came into the game.

Still despite his struggles it seems Urias is bound to have a comeback:

After struggling in the minors, Urias went on to put together a 27-scoreless inning streak.

The Dodgers only managed three hits and scored two runs, including a homerun for Trayce Thompson. Thompson gets his 8th home run of the year.

Unfortunately, despite Kike Hernandez getting in a run on a Corey Seager sacrifice fly the Dodgers couldn’t pull out the win.
