VIDEO: Adrian Gonzalez’s Four-Hit Game Vs. Colorado Rockies

For the second consecutive season, the Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in Colorado on the Fourth of July. Last year, the Dodgers played the finale of a three-game series on the national holiday. This season, they will play the second in a four-game set with the Rockies.

Zack Greinke turned in another solid start Thursday and Juan Uribe hit the go-ahead RBI single in the ninth inning as the Dodgers won and moved back into first place.

In 2013, the Dodgers won the first two games of the July series but were unable to complete the sweep. With the Dodgers at the time still battling to get back to .500, Adrian Gonzalez turned in a four-hit game.

His first two hits of the game were singles that came in the first and third innings. With the Rockies leading 8-3 in the sixth, Gonzalez then hit an RBI double. The Dodger first baseman capped off his night with a solo home run in the ninth. Unfortunately it wouldn’t make much of a difference as the Dodgers wound up losing by four runs.
