Prior to the Los Angeles Dodgers completing their three-game series against the San Diego Padres, they had the opportunity to meet boxer Canelo Alvarez. Showtime’s cameras were on hand to film footage that was used for the second episode of “ALL ACCESS: Canelo vs. Lara” that aired Wednesday.

Alvarez was greeted in the dugout by Adrian Gonzalez, who ushered him into the clubhouse to meet manager Don Mattingly, hitting coach Mark McGwire, Yasiel Puig and others.

Mattingly and McGwire took the opportunity to pose for photos with the boxer, then Alvarez made his way to meet Puig and the two exchanged friendly banter. Puig asked Gonzalez if Alvarez was the person the Dodger first baseman was going to “sic” on him.

Alvarez then asked Puig if he also trains to which the right fielder responded:

No, no. With these (points to bicpes), I’ll knock him (Gonzalez) out.

Puig then added he’s seen Alvarez’s competitor and fellow Cuban, Erislandy Lara, on television and said both boxers are good.

Alvarez is scheduled to fight Lara Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
