Before the Los Angeles Dodgers took on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Tuesday night, supermodel and 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Chrissy Teigen threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Aware of other celebrity’s failed attempts with the throw, Teigen wanted to make sure she didn’t embarrass herself on the mound. When she approached the mound, she took time to prepare a little more before throwing to Drew Butera.

After the successful pitch, Teigen excitedly jumped into Butera’s arms before doing the same with her friend.

The Dodgers gave her a special customized jersey with the number 40 and a nameplate of “Nugz.” According to Teigen, her husband, musical artist John Legend, gave her the nickname “40 Nugz” because of her love of 40-piece chicken nuggets from McDonald’s.

As for the actual game, the Dodgers defeated the Angels in walk-off fashion when Andre Ethier drove in Juan Uribe for a 5-4 win.
