VIDEO: Clayton Kershaw Accepts Challenge From Mo’Ne Davis

Much like the Los Angeles Dodgers rely on Clayton Kershaw on the mound, the Little League team from Philadelphia rely on right-hander Mo’Ne Davis.

Davis became the first girl to throw a shutout in Little League World Series history. Her newfound fame has given her the confidence to call out the Dodger ace and reigning Cy Young award winner. Following her performance, Davis challenged Kershaw to a pitch-off.

Kershaw took some time to respond to the young pitcher, congratulating her on her success and accepting the challenge. He invited Davis out to Los Angeles for the challenge. Davis’ team plays Sunday against Texas with the winner advancing to the next round in the United States bracket.

This is not the only Little League affiliation for the Dodgers, as the team from Chicago is sponsored by outfielder Carl Crawford. The two teams could face each other at some point in the tournament.
