Video: Dodger Stadium Transforms For NHL Stadium Series Game
Next week Dodger Stadium will play host to the first outdoor hockey game in Los Angeles as the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings will take part in the NHL Stadium Series.
The Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs already played at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but everyone is curious how the ice will hold up in sunny Southern California. Earlier this week, ice trucks arrived at Dodger Stadium as Kings legends Luc Robitaille and Wayne Gretzky were on hand along with Ned Colletti and Stan Kasten from the Dodgers organization.
It was also revealed that a beach volleyball court will be put in the outfield along with a small pool with a Ducks logo. While it’s bizarre that the next game at Dodger Stadium won’t involve the Dodgers, the atmosphere for Kings-Ducks should be very unique.
