Video: Dodgers And Diamondbacks Brawl After Greinke Is Hit

There’s no doubt that the Dodgers and Diamondbacks don’t like each other very much and those sentiments were realized again tonight when the benches cleared not once, but twice.

Diamondbacks starter Ian Kennedy hit Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig on the nose with a fastball in the sixth inning and Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke retaliated by hitting Dbacks catcher Miguel Montero.

However, this wouldn’t be the end as Kennedy struck Greinke near the head and that sparked both benches to clear. Involved primarily in the fight was Montero, Puig, Dodgers reliever Ronald Bellisario and most of the coaches.

Dodgers hitting coach Mark McGwire had a hold of Dbacks manager Kirk Gibson and third base coach Matt Williams as he wasn’t pleased with Greinke being hit near his head.

This isn’t the first time the Dodgers have been involved in a benches clearing brawl with Greinke on the mound as he hit Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin in April that saw him break his collarbone.

Here’s the video of the Dodgers and Diamondbacks brawling:
