Video: Hyun-Jin Ryu Releases Second Korean Pop Single, ‘Small Moon’
After a strong rookie season in Los Angeles, left-handed starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu took his talents to a different platform this off-season. Ryu was featured on “Smile Again”, a Korean pop music single with KPop artists Trouble Maker and G. NA back in December and has teamed up for another project.
This time, the 26-year-old once again lends his vocals to another KPop single, along with singers Gayoon, Yoseob, Eunkwang and Shin Ji Hoon. The song, titled “Small Moon” is supposed to provide courage and hope to any youth that are planning to follow Ryu’s footsteps. The songs are part of the Ryu-Cube Donation Project to help raise funds for blind students at the Hanbit Performing Arts Company.
Last season, the left-hander went 14-8 with a 3.00 ERA for the Dodgers and finishing fourth in NL Rookie of the Year voting. He had an impressive performance in Game 3 of the NLCS, going seven scoreless innings and earning the victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
