VIDEO: Hyun-Jin Ryu Throws Noodles In Latest Commercial

In what has become a thing to follow, Hyun-Jin Ryu’s stardom in his home country of Korea is one of the more entertaining stories with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In the past year, we have seen Ryu in various commercials, be featured in Korean pop songs and even a variety show. His last commercial for noodles included look-alikes of Clayton Kershaw, A.J. Ellis and Don Mattingly. However, the term look-alike is used very loosely. While his popularity in Los Angeles is strong, it’s nothing compared to Korea.

Since coming to the U.S. from Korea, Ryu has provided the Dodgers with a strong number three in their rotation. He’s won at least 14 games in both seasons, and a combined 3.17 ERA. In 2015, Ryu once again will fall in place behind Kershaw and Zack Greinke.

It’s because his change-up has been famous since he played in Korea.

      1. Thanks! I live in LA and I know he’s got a great change-up, but I wasn’t sure if that was the joke!
