VIDEO: Jeff Bridges Bowls And Throws Out First Pitch

The Los Angeles Dodgers have hosted countless actors, athletes and celebrities at home games and asked them to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. On Friday, critically acclaimed actor Jeff Bridges received the honor.

Bridges took the mound, went into a windup and in an ode to his character in “The Big Lebowski,” rolled the ball to home plate where Brian Wilson was catching. Wilson tossed the ball back to Bridges who then threw out a more traditional first pitch.

Bridges’ unorthodox delivery comes just under one month after USA soccer star Coby Jones kicked a ball towards home plate. NBA athletes Jordan Farmar and Nick Young also had adventurous experiences with the ceremonial first pitch earlier this season.

Prior to taking the mound, Bridges was photographed on the field during the Dodgers pre-game workout, where he spoke with Wilson and Clayton Kershaw.
