Video: Magic Johnson Discusses Pool Celebration And World Series Bet

The Dodgers playoff run officially begins on Thursday at Turner Field and while there are injury concerns, many believe they’ll advance to the World Series.

Not having Andre Ethier at 100 percent and with news that Matt Kemp is out for the season definitely hurt their chances, but with Yasiel Puig, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez in the middle of the order should be enough.

However, much was made about the way the Dodgers celebrated their NL West championship after they jumped in the pool at Chase Field. While the Diamondbacks asked the Dodgers to not come back onto the field, the players decided to take the champagne and cannonball into the pool.

Last night, Dodgers owner Magic Johnson was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and talked about Poolgate and how the team meant no disrespect to the Diamondbacks. However, Leno asked Magic if he would’ve jumped into the pool and while the Laker legend explained he can’t swim, he did say he’d stand in a pool in a speedo if the Dodgers won the World Series.

Here’s the entire video from last night:
