VIDEO: Yasiel Puig Hits Two-Run Home Run Off Ian Kennedy In 1st

Yasiel Puig was back in the two hole as the Los Angeles Dodgers took the field for a matinee affair with the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Puig made headlines recently when the Dodgers held a team meeting to discuss some of his base running errors in Australia.



After struggling through Spring Training, Puig was 3-of-13 with one double and two RBIs heading into Tuesday. Carl Crawford reached base with a leadoff single in the first inning, stole second and advanced to third as the ball went into center field, setting the stage for Puig to face old nemesis Ian Kennedy, who it Puig last season.

Puig turned on a 2-1 pitch that as inside and about letter high, sending it towering through the air into the left field stands, near the Western Supply Co. portion of Petco Park. The home run traveled an estimated 410 feet and gave Zack Greinke an early 2-0 cushion to work with.
