Video: Yasiel Puig Talks Important Dodger Moments And Expectations

It’s been an incredible turnaround for the Dodgers and leading the charge has been rookie Yasiel Puig. While Puig wasn’t in the Dodger plans to begin the season, injuries forced their hand and he found his way to the big leagues.

Now hitting .336 with 17 home runs and 39 RBIs, Puig has put himself in position to be NL Rookie of the Year as he’s dazzled both at the plate and in the field.

However, there have been some growing pains for the rookie outfielder as he was benched for not being prepared in right field, times where he’s been too aggressive and others when he wouldn’t hit cut off men.

All-in-all Don Mattingly has taken a good approach with his young star as he’s had him learning on the fly and veterans Adrian Gonzalez, Hanley Ramirez and Juan Uribe have been there to support him.

While the Dodgers are playing the Diamondbacks to start the week, Puig conducted an interview discussing his favorite moment, expectations and some lighter questions.

Here’s the full video of that interview:
