VIDEO: Yasiel Puig’s First Career Batting Practice At Dodger Stadium

Called up from Double-A on June 3, 2013, Yasiel Puig has one year and plenty of highlights under his belt as he’s quickly become one of the more popular Los Angeles Dodgers.



Puig swung a hot bat last spring and showed signs of being a five-tool player, but the Dodgers felt it was best for him to being the season in the minors, partly due to their crowded outfield. Once Puig reached the the big leagues, he had an immediate impact.

He went 2-for-4 in his debut and ended the game on a double play by catching a fly ball on the warning track in right field and doubling up Chris Denorfia with a perfect throw to first base. Before any of the highlights came to fruition, Puig took his first batting practice with the Dodgers, which the team has provided video of via their Vine account:
