Videos: Dodgers’ Vin Scully Says Thank You To Fox Sports, KCAL

The end of the Dodgers 2013 regular season marked the end of their games being broadcasted on Fox Sports Prime Ticket and KCAL 9.

Next year, the Dodgers will have their own channel called SportsNet LA on Time Warner Cable, which will provide fans with 24 hours of coverage. While there hasn’t been much since the Dodgers and Time Warner made the deal, president Stan Kasten said it’s out of respect with their partnership with Fox Sports.

Surprisingly, Fox Sports made it known that they weren’t going to air any Dodgers pregame or postgame coverage, something they’ve done in past playoff runs.

Meanwhile, there was a period of time this year where Dodger fans couldn’t watch KCAL on Time Warner, but Kasten believes that everyone should be able to get the new TWC channel.

Prior to yesterday’s game, Dodgers Hall of Fame announcer Vin Scully issued a thank you to both Fox Sports and KCAL 9 for their partnership with the team for the past several seasons.

Here are both thank you’s from yesterday:
