We should not be surprised from anything we see Cody Bellinger do anymore.
Yet, here we are, still in awe at the show he is putting on for us every night on the field.
In the 7th inning of Monday afternoon’s game against the Cardinals, a ball was hit into short left field. Paul DeJong, the runner that was on second, was waved home after the ball bounced off of Corey Seager’s glove.
Bellinger charged, picked up the ball and threw an absolute missile to Yasmani Grandal, who simply had to apply the tag at home.
Bellinger has the bat, glove, arm and athleticism every player wishes they could. Maybe now some will think twice before attempting to take that extra base on Bellinger.
