With the Dodgers’ bullpen being taxed a lot more than anyone would have preferred over the last five days, the team was in need of a deep start from Kenta Maeda.
After struggling for most of the first inning, Maeda was not able to go seep into the game but he recovered quite well and was able to deliver five solid innings.
Then came Hyun-Jin Ryu who delivered the performance of the night in his first career relief appearance.

Ryu picked up a four-inning save. He tossed four shutout innings and allowed only three baserunners.
