Trayce Thompson was finally able to get his bat on his first Major League hit of 2017, Wednesday night against the Angels.
The outfielder had looked lost in all of his previous plate appearances up until he connected for a massive home run in the top of the 8th inning of off Angels’ reliever Keynan Middleton.

Thompson is now 1-for-14 on the season, but that should obviously improve with more playing time. If he stays up with the club he can be a vital factor against lefties and in a late inning defensive role.
