With One Homer on the Night, Dodgers Fall to Cubs 2-1

The Los Angeles Dodgers once again faced the Chicago Cubs after yesterday’s 5-0 win at Wrigley. Unfortunately, victory was short lived after tonight’s 2-1 loss to the Cubs.

Enrique Hernandez broke the tie at the top of the first, hitting a solo shot to end the inning, his third homer of the season and thirteenth of his career.

Mike Bolsinger pitched at two Cubs, hitting Dexter Fowler at the bottom of the first and Javier Baez at the bottom of the second. Kris Bryant hit a curve ball in the bottom of the third giving the Cubs a 2-run home run against the Dodgers.

After a short time back in the minors, 19-year-old Julio Urias was called back up and is ready to start in tomorrow’s series finale against the Cubs. He is pitching in place of Alex Wood, who is out for at least four weeks due to a posterior impingement in his elbow.
