Top of the 6th inning Wood set a new career-high in strikeouts. Ironically, Wood notched his 13th strikeout of the night vs. Melvin Upton Jr.  In the 7th, Trayce Thompson hit his 7th career home run to give the Dodgers the lead.

Wood finished off the night with 13Ks in six innings, and accomplished something not even Clayton Kershaw has done.

The Dodgers headed into the 9th inning tied, and went into extra innings.

Another huge highlight came from Thompson who prevented Melvin Upton Jr. from sealing the game on another walkoff home run.

Unfortunately in the 11th, with the bases loaded for the Padres, the Dodgers fell 3-2 on a walkoff walk.
