Yasiel Puig, Dodgers Thank Players Who Were Traded (VIDEOS)

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ makeover got off to a subtle start as Andrew Friedman and Farhan Zaidi worked on the fringes of the 40-man roster. Winter Meetings then rolled around and soon the Dodgers’ train gained significant momentum.

Over a two-day stretch, the Dodgers had trades in place to send Dee Gordon, Dan Haren and Miguel Rojas to the Miami Marlins, and Tim Federowicz and Matt Kemp to the San Diego Padres. The trade with the Marlins was finalized rather quickly and it coincided with the Dodgers flipping a prospect to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for Howie Kendrick.



Dealing Kemp proved more troublesome as it included rumors of a failed physical, leaking of medical records, and the Padres asking for more compensation before it was completed one week after being agreed upon.

With several of his teammates from last season no longer part of the Dodgers organization, Yasiel Puig took to Twitter to wish them well:
