Yasiel Puig Says One Last Goodbye to Vin Scully
The Dodgers have been honoring Vin Scully’s career all season long, especially this week with the giveaways and ceremony; however, they are not the only ones showing their appreciation. The Chicago Cubs gifted the 67-year veteran with a “67” sign and Dodgers flag from Wrigley field. The Los Angeles Kings brought him his own personalized hockey jersey with the number 67 on the back.
Yasiel Puig took the initiative to visit Scully in his press box on Wednesday to thank him for all that he has done for the Dodgers organization with a gift!

That’s right, Yasiel Puig gifted Vin Scully his notorious cleats that the MLB threatened to fine him for!
If you don’t know the story, on July 17th, Puig broke the internet by wearing some custom cleats that had Vin Scully’s face on them and the phrase, “WinForVin!”
Everybody loved them, that is, everybody except for Major League Baseball. They threatened to fine him $5,000, claiming that they violated uniform rules. How honoring the man that has been the face of baseball in Los Angeles for so long is considered a violation is beyond me.

Here is what Vin Scully had to say about the gift!
Regardless, they were put away but have now found a new home with the man, the myth, the legend: Mr. Vin Scully. This is the least Yasiel Puig can do after he received the awesome nickname, The Wild Horse, from Scully. Maybe Vin will become a Wild Horse himself if he tries the cleats on!
