After a Lakers Championship, Magic Johnson Challenges the Dodgers to Get it Done

The Dodgers owner wants more than 1 Championship in LA this year.

The Dodgers are in a prime position to do something that they have never done before. After a long Championship drought, they can bring home a World Series for the first time since 1988. They also have ht opportunity to win a title not just in the same year as the Lakers, but in the same MONTH.

The Lakers defeated the Miami Heat last night to take home their first NBA Title in ten years. The Dodgers winning the World Series this year would mirror the 1988 Championship season in which both teams also took home titles.

Magic Johnson knows a thing or two about winning Championships. The Dodgers part-owner was a five-time NBA Champion with Los Angeles, and he issued a short challenge of his own last night following the Lakers win.

He threw out another tweet on the challenge literally just one minute later.

The Dodgers and Lakers winning a title in the same year would really be something. But those two teams winning one in the same month? Historic. Let’s go get it done.
