Animated: Yasiel Puig Throws Out Chris Denorfia From Warning Track

With all the pressure to immediately turn the Dodgers season around, outfielder Yasiel Puig started and ended tonight’s game in spectacular fashion.

Puig had a bloop single in his first at-bat and added another single in the sixth inning as the Dodgers got solo home runs from Adrian Gonzalez and Scott Van Slyke.



However, the Dodgers closer situation is unsettling to say the least as Brandon League came on in the ninth to help protect a 2-1 lead. With one out and a runner on first, League got Kyle Blanks to hit a fly ball to Puig and from there the Dodgers phenom threw out Chris Denorfia to end the game.
